2001 - Present Network Consultant Nashua, NH Computer Information Solution Provider n Supplied multiple companies around the New England area to maintain their computer systems and upgrade their existing networks giving them increases in functionality. n Provide small companies with a complete network solution starting with the running of network drops, setting up the switches and routers for there local internet and configuring network server's with a disaster recovery solution. n Working with Accounting Software and Professional Business Computing Solutions including: MAS 90/2000, Business Works, and SAP. n Assemble a proposal for the recommend and necessary networking improvements, selling them on each of the enhancements. n Instruct the local user on the new improvements to there network, showing them how to take complete advantage of the new features. 2001 Link Information Technology Nashua, NH Computer Network Engineer n Designed, implemented and maintained, WAN network infrastructure over a frame-relay network of more then fifteen remote sites. n Setups complete network solutions at six different companies using Windows NT or MS Backoffice Server as primary user authentication (Domain Controller). Installed and configured a server to maintain a private DHCP range to hand out IP addresses and point at the local DNS and WINS server for local and remote name resolution. Configured a MS Exchange Server for each site to handle internal and external e-mail using a local dial up host to transfer incoming and outgoing mail. Configured NT backup or Veritas Backup Exec (High end back solution) for their data recovery solution, backing up the exchange databases and system files. n Implemented two different VPN solutions for two different sites. One using an existing server, installed NT server and setup RRAS to authenticate domain user to access local files through a PPTP/L2TP tunnel. The second VPN solution was Cisco’s 3600 hardware VPN solution with a simple web based configuration. n Worked with Norton’s corporate Antivirus software, set it up to automatically update virus definitions on all pc, run virus scans every night, and track all viruses found and notify me of a new virus if one is found. n Migrated a network of over 200 systems over to a Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain.
